Even though it might not be seen by you or your guests, and it might be an area that isn't thought much about keeping clean, the storage and areas under the seating area is something that shouldn't be overlooked. The areas collect water that eventually dries but usually not before sitting for a bit longer in the warm weather in the dark and creating space for dirt to collect and sometimes growth.
